Hello Tulips!* I have decided that this year there will be no spring cleaning--there will be Spring Sprucing. The dust on my baseboards is hurting no one! I am taking the time instead to make beautification adjustments around the apartment. Here's a peak at the projects that happened at HerSpeak this week:

Welcome! It's time to take your creative gravy off the back burner and get your imaginative juices going. Let's get cooking!

What Is Making Creative Gravy?
Making Creative Gravy is a relaxed and entertaining workshop designed to help strengthen women's creative abilities and confidence through stimulating conversation and hands on inspirational exercises. Lecture, discussion and activities are designed for makers of all kinds: gardeners, painters, mothers, doodlers, poets, bloggers, students, dancers, singers, scrap bookers, photographers, knitters, jewelry makers, sewers, writers, art lovers, beauty seekers and dreamers!


How do I know if I should sign up?
Are you a creative soul who is in touch with their creativity but wants to know more? Did you used to be creative before you became overbooked and are trying to get back into the swing of creating? Do you wish you were creative, but just don't think you have the right stuff to make it happen? Do you find yourself wanting to be creative but are stuck in a rut or overwhelmed? Did you try being creative once and were crushed by negative feedback? Are you currently creative in your daily life but are looking to branch out and meet other kindred spirits? Do you like to get your hands dirty? Then you are in the right place!


What happens at a Creative Gravy workshop?

Sessions include:

*Debunking of creative"myths" as well as engaging discussion on inspiration resources, creative space making, the importance of play and meeting your Muse

*Discussion on how to abolish creative block and overcome artistic obstacles wherever you are on your creative path

*Hands on activities which include group drawing, collaging and writing prompts

*An introduction to meditation and visualization as a creative tool

*Methods for introducing creative practice into your daily routine

*A triumphant return of Joy and Sanity!


Who facilitates the workshop?
Molly Roberts is a working fine artist and performer based in Milwaukee WI. She is currently completing a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She acts as secretary for the Women's Artist Resource Network, an organization dedicated to supporting the current work and artistic achievements of women.
